A Maker of Things
In late 2014 I left the technology world and traded in my laptop in for a chisel. I began by attending the Woodworking Intensive Program focused on handtools at The Port Townsend School of Woodworking and completed this program in spring 2015. After school I worked in the community shop at Pratt Fine Arts Center before moving to my current home, Georgetown’s Equinox Studios. I use traditional hand made joinery and incorporate power tools where it makes sense. My aesthetic is clean and simple embracing the beauty inherent to the wood.
Today I divide my time between teaching at Pratt Fine Arts Center, working with the John Grade Sculpture Studio and building commissioned work. My commissioned work ranges from custom designed built-ins for unique spaces to mid century styled record cabinets.
